The Special Olympics team from Olympia High School had an unforgettable weekend. On Saturday the team met the Columbus Crew Unified team and had dinner together. The team then watched the Orlando City MLS match on Sunday before playing their game on the field.
Cesar Aponte scored a hat trick, Zachary Kuka got a brace, and Freddrick Johnson and Al’Londre Murray both scored as the team went on to win 7-1.
Below is a link to the match.
This truly was an amazing experience for the student athletes as they got to meet some of the Orlando City MLS players and the Orlando City head coach. We are extremely proud of these athletes as they represented Olympia High School with great pride.
