Olympia High School 14th 0

Olympia had 3 boys qualify to the 4A State Meet in which they represented our school very well. Qualifying to compete at the State level is a very impressive accomplishment; most of these competitors train everyday of the year to make this level of competition. Brandon Wegner out dove 23 /24 competitors and placed 2nd. Billy kept us on the edge of our seat throughout the meet, after 6 dives he was 6th but then as the rounds went on he was able to move into 4th place. Brandon and Billy are both juniors so we are very hopeful to see them capture 1-2 next year. Our only swimmer was Touma Mack. He missed having his relay team there but he got off to a good start in the 50 Free by breaking the school record for a second time this season; 20.68. Touma medaled 6th in the 50 Free in a very fast finals heat.
Then one event later he gets back on the block to swimming the 100 Free. He posted a best time of 46.01 and then repeating this at finals with a second 6th place finish. Touma is a duel varsity athlete at Olympia and we are very proud of what his work ethic and commitment do for the team and himself. Three boys, 4 medals and 14th/45 teams says it all!
